The Legend of Terra
Chapter 1: Dawn of a New Day

Eight Years Later…
Terra's eyes snapped open in a flash. Her room was already full of bright light flowing in from one of the open windows of her chamber in the stone castle. She knew what today was. It was the first day of summer, one of the many dates of joy and celebration in the days to come. Leaping out of her bed she quickly the young woman had a delighted skip and bounce in her step. She drew back the balcony curtains to her room, letting the golden afternoon light fill her once shadowed chamber. Still cool after-morning air rushed across her skin. The warm rays of radiance reflected off the mirrors and the royal purple tapestries that adorned her room, creating a comforting yet exciting ambience which Terra enjoyed.
Striding out onto the balcony Terra look a long breath in, filling her lungs with the fresh clean summer air. "It's a wonderful day, just wonderful!" she cooed twirling around clearly happy with t

The Legend of Terra
Prologue: The Future

Terra has been here countless times before. She knew that she was having the nightmare again. It was the same hellish night-terror that she has been having for as long as she could remember, but no matter how hard she tried and no matter how much Terra struggled, she couldn't wake up from her deep tomb-like slumber. What she saw was always a blur, a swirling mass off colors and senses.
What stood before her was the grand hall of Hyrule Castle. But it wasn't the hall she's come to know in her childhood. It was in ruin, the great stone columns that once held up the giant painted ceilings were fallen over and crumbling into dust. The colorful banners that once adorned the walls were burned and tattered and rippe

Chapter 3 – Metal and Glass

Almost unconsciously Cremia’s slender fingers crept down the side of her leg. Her nails glided across her smooth skin like skates on ice. On the top of her hand the ranch owner could feel the soft pressure of the dark red blanket’s weight upon her body. Cremia slowly was coming out of a deep sleep, yet she continued to dream as her body woke. Thoughts of the previous hours were moving sluggishly through her head, everything being a strange clouded blur. She dug her face deeper into her soft white pillow as the memories passed through her head. Opening her mouth she let out an exhale, the relaxing comfort of her bed made her feel safe and secure about the world around her. Her mind wandered again. In the blur of Cremia’s thoughts a shadowy black figure came barely into focus. In the dream the figure stood against a foggy grey backdrop. It stood unmoving and faceless. That’s how the dream continued, that simply sc

“Get away from her!” Cremia yelped as she launched her body at the black armored figure standing beside the bed. “You get back!” She yowled again, swatting at the air in front of her as if to attack whatever it was that seemed to have taken an interest in Romani and Cremia.
Much to her surprise, the shadowy figure obeyed. It stepped backward quickly, avoiding the flailing hands of the ranch owner. The armored shadow immediately raised its hands in front of itself, making a slight distance between it and Cremia. Whatever it was clearly didn’t seem to wish any conflict. Cremia took notice in the humanoid creature’s hands. They looked normal like Cremia’s only more masculine. The tan skin of the de-gloved palms were rough and callused. It looked at Cremia, watching and waiting for her next move. The stance it took made it clear that the figure was ready to defend itself if Cremia decided on any hostile acti

Chapter 1 - The Shadow

"Cremia, wake..!" A voice chirped loudly, only to be interrupted by a tiny weak cough. "...Cremia, wake up!"
The owner of Romani Ranch, Cremia, stirred. She could feel the touch of small hands on her shoulder trying to quicken her awakening. Slowly, Cremia's aching eyes peeled open and a soft dim grey light flooded her sense of vision. As the light induced daze began to fade, the Terminan regained what composure she could. Each muscle in her legs throbbed with an immense pain of soreness and weariness. Tilting her head backward, Cremia rested her head against the dull colored walls of her dwelling. Her eyes slowly rolled about the room, examining every single detail as if making sure she was actually at home. Cremia lifted her hands in front of her eyes. They were covered in dry caked-on dirt. The mud must've dried over the course of the night. Looking down Cremia could see her clothes. They too were encased in a thick layer of dried earth.

Cremia stepped out of her dwelling on the ranch grounds. Her bare feet immediately sunk into the thick water and mud mixture. Hands gripped firmly on the door frame the Terminan woman yanked her single foot out of the mud. She could feel the slimy mixture of earth oozing between her toes. The constant rain of the past few days soaked the ground to a nearly flood like state. Curling the digits on her toes Cremia attempted to remove the wet earth as quickly as she could. She soon resorted to a single violent shake of her lower limb, sending the mud splashing back to the soaked ground. Although her vain attempts at cleaning herself removed what grime it could, her foot was tainted brown. Only a good washing with pure water would remove the earthy stain on her skin. Cremia stepped back fully into the doorway, both feet on the wooden floor of her ranch house.
"Did you see it?" A tiny quiet voice peeped from behind the ranch owner.

Epilogue: Upon Horizons

One Year Later…
Terra's eyes slowly peeled open. Curled warmly in her bed she paused for a few brief moments before moving again. Lifting the large covers off her upper body, she pushed herself into a sitting position and scooted up against the wooden headboard of the bed. She ran her slender fingers through her blonde hair to clear it away from her face. The Hylian Princess stretched her arms out in front of her and yawned. Terra mustered a faint smile as her eyes slowly scanned the room where she had slept.
Slowly, her eyes traveled around the area. Just to her side was the other half of the bed, but no one filled that spot. The thick covers were still neatly arranged, the bed had been made for some time. All around her lay artifacts of that day one year ago. She kept them as keepsakes, for the memories. Her blue eyes continued to scan the room. Dressers and other pieces of furniture stood against the walls. All around th

Chapter 31: Gods

Alec's boots slammed heavily against the floor, his metal armor sounding like great hammers against the smooth stone below. Ganon and Majora readied themselves and looked onward at the changed masked boy in apprehension. The Knight's footsteps became faster as his paced quickened. With renewed energy from the Fierce Deity's Mask transformation, the final battle was at hand. Alec now faced down the combined might of Ganon and Majora, only now he had a power nearly equal to the enemy he faced. Swinging his gleaming helix blade to the side the Knight Captain immediately charged into a full sprint.
Terra looked onward, her body still pressed against her mother's throne on which she sat. Her eyes narrowed at Alec and the beast. She could only watch as the fate of her world hung in the balance.
Slicing through the air Alec's blade sailed towards the abominations side. The battle was joined. Ganon and Majora stepped backward, easily dodging the stri

Terra pulled at Alec with all her strength further into the grand hall of Hyrule Castle. Tears ran down her face, everyone she knew was gone. Almost unable to keep herself standing she pulled forcefully at Alec's body, trying to get him to any sort of safety. All around her was destruction. The once proud grand hall was in ruin. Stones had fallen from the ceiling as rooms caved in and fell. Pieces of furniture and decoration now littered the hall along with the grey debris. Tapestries, once vibrant and colorful were now torn and burnt, their masses swaying in the smoky wind that now traveled through the room. Terra did her best to pull Alec's body through the rubble. The Knight Captain could no longer stand on his own, his life force quickly fleeting from his body.
"C-C-Come on, Alec!" Terra pleaded in vain. It was growing increasingly difficult to haul the armored boy due to her own wounds. "We n-n-need to get o-out of here!" Her words were

Chapter 29: Scourge

"There are too many of them!" A struggling voice cried out through the writhing mass of bodies that occupied Hyrule Market's main square. Echoing off the stone walls, sounds of the ferocious battle that had engulfed the city traveled out over the pulsating mass of flesh and bone that seemed to push up against the city walls. The dark army pushed into the town slowly, the shear mass of the force slowing itself down.
"Just hold on!" Alec shouted back to his people as he stumbled backwards, barely missing the wide swing of the Iron Knuckle that was coming down upon him. The enormous metal axe impacted the stone ground of the market square. Small chunks of stone erupted from where the axe hit. Taking the open chance Alec moved in. With as much force as he could muster he swung his sword sideways through the air, aiming directly at the iron beast's head. The harsh sound of metal cleaving into metal flowed into Alec's ear. He had landed the hit,

Chapter 28: Unrelenting

"Here they come!" A soldier shouted at the top of his lungs, his voice filled with alarm.
The army of flesh and bone charged forward like the great wave of a black sea. Their ranks quickly disintegrated into a pure mass of sprinting beasts. Before they reached the wall the army had to cross a small stretch of open field and then somehow bridge a gap across the small water filled moat that lay at the base of the great grey stone wall. The distance closed swiftly. What little green remained between the army and the wall was vanishing and being trampled under the feet of the oncoming onslaught of Ganondorf and Majora's forces.
"Archers, Ready!" Alec shouted, lifting his glimmering sword aloft in the air as a signal.
In unison the Hylian soldiers armed with bows pulled back the strings of their weapons, arrows notched ready to fire over the wall at the oncoming force. They waited for Alec to give the signal to fire.
